You can find a lot of information and advice on the Internet about Tinnitus. It is up to you to decide which one. Which ones actually work?
Dr Pawel Jastreboff understands the confusion. According to Dr Pawel Jastreboff, the internet is overloaded with information and misinformation. He says that there are many myths and people who claim to have a cure for tinnitus. What can you do to stop it?
Learn how to deal
It can be tackled in many ways. Dr Jastreboff has developed a method that has shown good results. Tinnitus Retraining Therapy is (TRT) a method of learning how to manage your tinnitus subconsciously and consciously.
It’s like raindrops hitting a roof. At first, you notice it. After a while, you notice it less and then your attention shifts to something else. This is habituation.
It all starts
Tinnitus usually begins with loud noises. It’s difficult to diagnose and even more difficult to treat. “The brain does have a plan for loud noise and music. But, for some unfortunate people, these mechanisms don’t work. They become the chronic tinnitus patients,” Dr Jastreboff explains. “Transient tinnitus is when the ringing comes and goes. To understand it, we have to travel deep into the brain.”
